Trained in visual arts with a specialisation in painting at UFMG, Juliana Gontijo works across painting, drawing, photography, video and writing. Her research turns on territory, image, word and body.
Hybrid compositions cross reminiscences of oral history, fragments of dream and remnants of theory. She has shown at the Palácio das Artes in Belo Horizonte and at the Aloisio Magalhães Museum of Modern Art in Recife.
